The Prancing Pony

Welcome to the Prancing Pony Inn

The Prancing Pony Inn is the watering hole for wayward travellers and locals alike. Here they can stop, take a drink, share a travelling song or tale and take a room. The Inn itself is a meeting place for many folk from Bree and the surrounding area, here hobbits, Men and even the occasional Dwarf have been known to stop for some of Barliman Butterbur's fine ale.
The owner of the establishment, as mentioned earlier, is Barliman Butterbur. Barliman offers accomodation for guests of all shapes and sizes, which is probably why Gandalf the Grey suggests this to Frodo as their meeting place. However Barliman is more than a little forgetful, causing messages to become confused, among other irritations.
As many travellers stop at the Inn of the Prancing Pony it is not unusual for dark strangers to sit smoking pipes in dark corners. Although Barliman Butterbur is still weary of these travellers, as he is wary of the dark stranger who is in the Inn the night that Frodo, Sam and the other hobbits arrive there to meet Gandalf.

This particular night there is an odd looking man sitting in a corner, hooded and cloaked, and smoking a pipe. As the embers in his pipe fade away his gaze falls upon you.
