Caradhras
"We must take the Pass of Caradhras"
Gandalf

With the Gap of Rohan being watched by the Dark Lord's spies the Fellowship have little choice but to continue their journey over the harsh terrain of Caradhras, a huge mountain range. The Nine Walkers are being watched, however, and their journey is not an easy one. The very mountain seems set to defeat them as great pieces of ice and rock rain down upon them, perhaps sent by another enemy.
The final straw comes when the Fellowship is practically buried beneath a great load of fallen snow. Knowing that if they continue they may be swept off the mountainside the Fellowship admit defeat and make their way back to face their only remaining option. Moria. The underground city of Dwarrowdelf which will take them not over the mountain, but through it. However the first challenge is actually getting into Moria as it seems to be more difficult than expected...
When the Fellowship reaches the entrance to Moria they are struck with a riddle. Gandalf reads the writing over the door which says 'pedo mellon a minno' this means 'speak friend and enter' but try as he might Gandalf cannot figure out the password or find a spell to open the doors. Luckily a young hobbit has more luck.
