Arwen
Arwen is the daughter of Elrond Half-Elven, Master of Rivendell. Her grandmother is Galadriel, the Lady of the Golden Wood, or Lothlórien and it was in this forest that she was raised. Arwen has dark hair and deep blue eyes and is said to be the most beautiful person in all of Middle-earth. As well as this she is millennia old and full of wisdom and knowledge of the world around her.
Despite the fact that she is wise beyond reckoning she has fallen in love with a mortal man and with her father keen for her to take the Great Ship to the Grey Havens she has a huge decision to make. The man that she loves is Aragorn, the heir to the Gondorian throne, who was raised by Elrond in Rivendell after he was orphaned. He wants her to do as her father wishes and to leave Middle-earth for the Undying Lands, but she knows that if she does this she will never see Aragorn again. However if she stays she must give up her immortality and so die a mortal death.
Arwen is also known as the Evenstar of the Elves, she bears a beautiful jewel of the same name. This jewel she gifts to Aragorn showing that she promises him not only her heart, but also her life.
